Langos for the Road

It's basically fried bread with sour cream, cheese, bacon and red onion, called an "Indian Taco" from my part of the world. Well, all over my guidebook and the Internet people raved about these hungarian things that were apparently on every single street in Budapest. Well I was here for two days and saw NONE. No langos. So I decided to get serious and looked up "the best" langos in the city and set out on a quest. There I met two Aussies who were doing the same. We sat on the street eating our greasy Indian tacos and talked about The Sonics (one of them was a huge fan and could NOT believe they went to OK) and also how rude and vulgar all Californians had been since beginning their trip two weeks ago. They said they had finally met a reasonable American (me). Sad, huh? Of course they loooooove Canadians. Everybody loves Canadians. Dang. Then I met a crazy Hungarian woman on a bus tour and seriously had to escape from her crazy trap. But I don't want to go into it. The aussies were awesome! Meeting Liza in Pisa tomorrow, very happy. And am going dark for about five days, hopefully. Goodbye, susrpising Budapest!

  1. There are a few Canadians at my work. They are lovely people. Like really polite, considerate Americans. Mom and Dad would make good Canadians.
