Trip prep

Flying out of Vancouver gave us the perfect opportunity to stop in Bellingham to consult with my niece, Ava, who briefed us on potential animal threats in our target countries.

We like the Vancouver airport, it's like Shangri-la compared to SeaTac. But we are discovering why our flight was so cheap...no check in kiosks, really long lines, and $24 hr dinners on Condor Air. But we outwitted them and bought a veggie subway (foot-long) to eat three hours in.This is Stina, my Hen-dancing friend from college, with me for one week.

    1. Brian, Stina is the one who got me into two-step dancing at The Little Red Hen at Greenlake about five years ago.

  2. Can't wait to learn more about Ava's coaching on animals to avoid in Austria, Hungary, Italy & France. I need to learn how to spell the country where Prague is located. I know she can teach me.
