I've never seen these creatures protruding from church walls before. Dragons, fish, gazelles...fascinating. was.built between 1200-1500.

  1. If I'm not mistaken, those are basically downspouts meant to channel the streams of rain water away from the building so that they don't erode the foundation when they land. Probably wasn't (isn't?) pleasant to walk around the building during a hard rain.
