I wanted to see this monument this morning, so I figured I would get up there before it was 100 degrees.
View from the top.
My face is completely red here, but the camera lies. I was sweating all down my back at 9 am.
Then I went on to see the National Museum and the castle walls, all on the Buda side.
This is the famous Matthias church from below.
Here it is from above.
Now we're talking. Grilled pike over baked noodles and Paprikas sauce with shrimp. At a recommended bistro, Pest Buda, near the church. It was fantastic.
For dessert, Gelato Rosa. I had pistachio and cashew cream. I don't love ice cream, but this was so pretty...

You should make a video of how they make the ice cream look so pretty! And, I'm convinced that Budapest needs to be on my bucket list. Looks so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThose sausage-lookin things were baked noodles?
ReplyDeleteGuess that's why we travel.
I thought they were Cheetos...
ReplyDelete1. U r darling in that pic w sweat runnin down ur back.
ReplyDelete2. Monuments & churches are important...but that Pike &Shrimp Paprika sauce combo over those plump Cheetos/sausage lookin noodles was worth the ticket.
