Housewarming

Wine from the region

The house

The back yard. Over 70 people came to this party from all over the world...from India to Germany and Scotland. It's deserted in this picture because high tide is at 5 and everyone heads to the beach, about a five minute walk from the back yard over a grassy area.

From inside the house. Liza's friend Emma had the house remodeled through Skype sessions from seattle.

  1. Love the medieval architecture! What was the purpose of the party?

  3. Hi Brian! I'm finally catching up on Marjie's posts. I guess I didn't want them to overly influence me while we were together. The party was a housewarming to redefine all housewarmings, as far as I'm concerned, from here on out! Emma had grown up in that house, and when she inherited it a few years ago she needed to breathe new life into it, which she did with panache -- we all did. Emma lives in Seattle with her family now. The house is going to be a rental vacation home now. I'm enjoying your comments!

  4. Thanks for the details, Liza! Looks like you may have even redefined the term panache with that party!
